Algo de historia de los Hojaldres de Astorga
Los Hojaldres de Astorga son un dulce tradicional de la provincia de León que se ha dado a conocer en toda España. Su receta es muy simple, dos placas de hojaldre horneadas y bañadas en almíbar de azúcar y miel. Hay quienes atribuyen su invención al francés Claude Gellée, entre 1600 y 1682, aunque también hay quienes lo atribuyen a una simple casualidad. Lo que si parece estar claro es que ya era conocido por griegos y árabes, los cuales, en lugar de preparar la masa con mantequilla, la elaboraban con aceite.
