Las Tostadas de Crema son un dulce tradicional de la provincia de Bizkaia que se solía preparar en la época de Carnavales, como son las Tostadas de Crema, aunque hay poca gente que sepa que se comían desde el 2 de febrero, cuando se celebraba la fiesta de las Candelas, fiesta muy conocida en el mundo rural. Esta fiesta consistía en la bendición en las iglesias de las velas que luego se encendían en los días de tormenta para así salvaguardar el caserío. Después de la misa y a modo de celebración todos los asistentes comían tostadas de crema.
