La Esqueixada de Barcelona es una de las recetas más tradicionales de la gastronomía de dicha provincia, teniendo en cuante que, la dieta catalana está muy vinculada con la mediterránea, por lo que, en muchos de sus platos podemos encontrar verduras y hortalizas, además de pescados y mariscos. La esqueixada es una receta que se prepara a base de bacalao desalado crudo, mezclado con vegetales como pimiento, tomate, cebolla y aceitunas.
